This book has challenged the way that I interpret beauty and see everyday life. I love the brutal honesty Nikki shares with the reader. While, I bought this book on the premise that it would focus more on Nikki's photography (I am a photography grad student, and I like to see other's work) it was his words that hit me hard in some aspects. As if you are privy to a therapy session, without realizing you have a lot to work on, too. I have recommended this book, and will continue to do so. But...at the same time, more photographs should have been included. Good work, Nikki.

In a day where every book is written with the same old, same old ho hum subjects, this one takes you in so many directions. I absolutely LOVED it! Couldn't put it down! I hope he's working on sharing the next chapters of his life, and until then, I will be here anxiously waiting!!

Not a sequel to The Heroin Diaries

Before I started reading This Is Gonna Hurt I feared it was going to be a lame attempt at a sequel to Nikki Sixx's excellent first book The Heroin Diaries. Upon reading, my concerns were put to rest. The original concept for This Is Gonna Hurt was that it was going to be a book of Nikki Six's photography, with passages explaining the photos, but at some point in the project the reverse occurred. Instead the photographs have become a visual interpretation of his words. My only request would have been more photographs.

I didn't even know who the author is, but it made no difference. I was intrigued by the title, so I downloaded a sample and was immediately impressed. So I purchased the book and read it through. It is a good head turner for anyone who is feeling down, regardless of the reason. The only thing I didn't like was the poor quality of the photographs. They are so small that it is impossible to see any detail. It's a shame, because I know Nikki would want everyone to be able to see the detail better. Regardless, this is a good read.

Just when you need it, Nikki will make you laugh, bring you to tears, and inspire you to move on. My favorite book of the year! As if you are privy to a therapy session, without realizing you have a lot to work on, too. I have recommended this book, and will continue to do so. But...at the same time, more photographs should have been included. Good work, Nikki.

Instead the photographs have become a visual interpretation of his words. My only request would have been more photographs.

They are so small that it is impossible to see any detail. It's a shame, because I know Nikki would want everyone to be able to see the detail better. Regardless, this is a good read.

While, I bought this book on the premise that it would focus more on Nikki's photography (I am a photography grad student, and I like to see other's work) it was his words that hit me hard in some aspects. As if you are privy to a therapy session, without realizing you have a lot to work on, too. I have recommended this book, and will continue to do so. But...at the same time, more photographs should have been included. Good work, Nikki.

I loved it just as much -or maybe a little more than- The Heroin Diaries! Nikki Sixx is definitely my hero! Most kids my age -which is 12- would say their mom or dad is their hero but Nikki Sixx has won me! I absolutely love him & this book!! <3

Pretty self-indulgent. But isn't that our beloved Nikki Sixx?? Oh yes, he is like an onion with many layers and I love every single one of them. In a day where every book is written with the same old, same old ho hum subjects, this one takes you in so many directions. I absolutely LOVED it! Couldn't put it down! I hope he's working on sharing the next chapters of his life, and until then, I will be here anxiously waiting!!

Not a sequel to The Heroin Diaries

Before I started reading This Is Gonna Hurt I feared it was going to be a lame attempt at a sequel to Nikki Sixx's excellent first book The Heroin Diaries. Upon reading, my concerns were put to rest. The original concept for This Is Gonna Hurt was that it was going to be a book of Nikki Six's photography, with passages explaining the photos, but at some point in the project the reverse occurred. Instead the photographs have become a visual interpretation of his words. My only request would have been more photographs.

I didn't even know who the author is, but it made no difference. I was intrigued by the title, so I downloaded a sample and was immediately impressed. So I purchased the book and read it through. It is a good head turner for anyone who is feeling down, regardless of the reason. The only thing I didn't like was the poor quality of the photographs. They are so small that it is impossible to see any detail. It's a shame, because I know Nikki would want everyone to be able to see the detail better. Regardless, this is a good read.

Just when you need it, Nikki will make you laugh, bring you to tears, and inspire you to move on. My favorite book of the year! Pictures are amazing, so much talent packed into one man is just not fair, give me some of that! Love the book, love Nikki. A must must must read.

This book has challenged the way that I interpret beauty and see everyday life. I love the brutal honesty Nikki shares with the reader. He can really make one feel like he/she has truly had an intimate experience with with him. Brian
